Department: Human Resources / Organizational Development

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Learning & Development / Training Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our employee and leadership development programs.

This is an on-site role based in Lancaster, CA, with occasional travel to our Pasadena, CA location. Remote work is not available for this position.

This role will manage multiple training initiatives across the organization with a strong focus on production employees, leadership pipeline development, and organizational capability building. The ideal candidate brings expertise in adult learning in a manufacturing environment, instructional design, and training program evaluation-including ROI measurement-and has experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Training Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business goals, including technical, compliance, and leadership training.

Program Management: Oversee multiple concurrent training programs, prioritizing according to business needs and ensuring timely and effective delivery.

Employee & Leadership Development: Design and facilitate programs that support skill development across all levels-from front-line manufacturing employees to supervisors and emerging leaders.

Train-the-Trainer for Manufacturing: Design and deliver structured Train-the-Trainer programs specifically for production environments to ensure consistent and effective knowledge transfer.

Instructional Design & Adult Learning: Utilize strong adult learning principles and instructional design techniques to create engaging and impactful training content.

Assess Training Effectiveness & ROI: Use analytical tools to measure training impact, performance improvements, and return on investment. Recommend improvements based on data insights.

LMS Management: Oversee the company's Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accurate content, user engagement, tracking, and reporting.

Facilitation & Presentation: Deliver high-impact live and virtual training sessions with strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Continuous Improvement: Research and integrate industry trends and best practices into training programs to ensure innovation and relevance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Training Manager or in a Learning & Development leadership role.

Manufacturing or industrial training experience is strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and facilitation techniques.

Experience developing and delivering Train-the-Trainer programs for production staff.

Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Strong analytical skills to assess training outcomes and demonstrate training ROI.

Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives effectively.

Professional certifications (e.g., ATD, CPTD, or similar) are a plus.
