Position Summary

The Director, Marketing & Public Relations will lead the overall marketing and public relations strategy for RIDE Mobility. This role is responsible for building and strengthening the company's brand presence, leading the marketing team, driving external communications, and supporting business growth through effective marketing initiatives and public relations efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both marketing and public relations, with the ability to develop strategic campaigns, manage media and public-facing communications, and elevate the company's market presence. This leader will work closely with executive leadership, sales, and cross-functional teams to position RIDE Mobility as a strong, credible brand in the commercial electric-vehicle industry.

  • Lead the company's overall marketing and public relations strategy to enhance brand awareness, reputation, and market positioning
  • Manage and develop the internal marketing team, providing direction, coaching, and performance oversight
  • Build and execute integrated marketing campaigns to support business objectives, product visibility, and company growth
  • Develop promotional campaigns across digital and traditional channels
  • Oversee all external communications, including public relations, media relations, press releases, corporate messaging, and brand communications
  • Strengthen and promote the RIDE brand across key audiences, including customers, partners, industry stakeholders, and the public
  • Partner with executive leadership to align marketing and PR strategies with business goals and company priorities
  • Coordinate lead-generation strategies with Sales to support business development and customer engagement
  • Manage the company's public image and help prepare leadership for external communications, interviews, events, and public-facing opportunities
  • Develop brand messaging and content strategy across digital platforms, website, social media, presentations, and marketing materials
  • Oversee event branding, trade show presence, and customer-facing marketing materials
  • Develop and manage industry-focused event and conference planning
  • Manage the marketing budget, including planning, allocation, tracing and vendor spend oversight
  • Manage relationships with outside agencies, media contacts, PR firms, vendors, and creative partners as needed
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer insights, and industry developments to inform strategy
  • Support product launches, trade shows, industry events, customer-facing campaigns, and key company announcements
  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing and PR initiatives and analyze performance data to optimize business impact
  • Ensure consistent brand standards and messaging across all communications channels
  • Identify opportunities to improve market visibility, strengthen customer engagement, and support long-term business growth

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, public relations, corporate communications, or brand management
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading marketing, communications, or cross-functional teams
  • Experience in an in-house corporate marketing or communications leadership role preferred
  • Experience managing external agencies, PR firms, and creative vendors
  • Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, mobility, transportation, manufacturing, clean energy, or other B2B/industrial sectors preferred
  • Proven experience supporting executive leadership and aligning marketing strategy with business goals
