Spectrum Superiority is searching for an experienced Business Development Manager with a successful track record in identifying, shaping, and winning new business opportunities in the C-UxS, and Electronic Warfare markets with Department of War (DoW) and intelligence community customers as well as Industry Partners.
**This role will be based at our Sterling, VA location. Candidates MUST have the ability to commute at least 2 days a week to this location.**
Responsibilities:
Primary focus will be on the identification, development, and qualification of opportunities inside the Department of War and with Intelligence and Federal Agencies for non-kinetic and low collateral damage C-UxS Solutions with a focus on both rapid reaction and Programs of Record as well as developing key partnerships with industry OEMs for integration of C-C5ISR Products and Capabilities. This position will work closely with the VP of Business Development, the C-C5ISR Division Leader, and the sales team across the Spectrum Superiority business to develop the pipeline and go to market plan while focusing on positioning and capturing new business contracts.
Other responsibilities include:
  • Create, manage, and implement go-to-market plans that articulate and generate consensus for strategic vision, action plans, competitive intelligence, investments, business case, etc. for C-UXS opportunities.
  • Build and qualify new business pipeline for non-kinetic and/or low collateral damage C-UxS market
  • Develop and present milestone briefings to senior management in support of investing in and pursuing strategic opportunities in this market.
  • Engage DoW, Intel and Industry customers to identify and shape opportunities. This includes active communication of filtered actionable intelligence back to the Lines of Business, BD, and functional group staff as well as contact plan, messaging, and win strategy development and timely follow-up.
  • Actively support Capture, Proposals, and Sales functions to maintain continuity across the BD lifecycle, enhancing our ability to win as opportunities progress from qualification into capture and then proposal.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in engineering, related technical field, or business.
  • Detailed technical and/or operational understanding of non-kinetic C-C5ISR market particularly focused on C-UxS and upcoming programs and requirements within IC and DoW market.
  • Strong trusted network of customer contacts and familiarity with the customer's major programs and upcoming initiatives.
  • Established customer relationships with applicable DoW PAE's/PM's as well as with crewed and uncrewed platform OEM's.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute the business development process with minimum supervision.
  • Effective leader/participant in formal presentations to clients and potential teaming partners; proven track record of building winning teams as well as successfully negotiating with potential team members as to roles and participation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • 5+ years performing Business Development (sales, marketing, capture, proposal) activities, especially in pursuit of high-end technology-based solutions within the IC & DoW markets within the Federal space or similar relevant experience in DoW program office.
  • Active Secret clearance; with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance.

Desired:
  • Working experience and personal relationships with OEM's that integrate C-C5ISR, Electronic Warfare, and C-UxS payloads into crewed and uncrewed vehicles.
  • Formal training in the Shipley capture process.
  • Relevant Military operational experience or technical expertise
