Schedule: Full-Time, Summer Internship (with potential to extend or convert)

This internship is designed to provide hands-on, real-world experience in learning operations, training coordination, and workforce development-with the opportunity to grow into expanded responsibilities over time.
Position Overview
The Learning & Development Intern will support the People & Culture team with the setup, coordination, tracking, and continuous improvement of employee training programs, primarily within UKG Learning. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, curious about how people learn at work, and interested in a career in HR, Talent Development, or Organizational Development.
This is not a "shadowing" internship-you will be doing real work that directly impacts employees and leaders across ALULA.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Operations & UKG Learning Support
  • Assist with setting up training courses and learning paths in UKG Learning
  • Create and manage training rosters, assignments, and enrollment
  • Schedule instructor-led and virtual trainings as needed
  • Send training reminders, follow-ups, and completion notices
  • Track attendance, completion, and overdue trainings
  • Run and maintain basic training reports and dashboards

Training Coordination & Communication
  • Support communication of training initiatives to employees and leaders
  • Help ensure training materials are current, accessible, and well organized
  • Assist with new hire training and onboarding coordination
  • Maintain documentation related to training schedules, courses, and SOPs

Content Development & Research
  • Help identify, source, or develop training content based on organizational needs
  • Assist with updating or creating:
    • Job aids
    • Quick reference guides
    • Training outlines or presentations
  • Research best practices and external learning resources to support workforce development

Continuous Improvement & Special Projects
  • Gather feedback on training effectiveness
  • Assist with process improvements for learning administration
  • Support additional People & Culture projects as assigned (HR, engagement, or development initiatives)

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
    • Human Resources
    • Organizational Development
    • Education
    • Business
    • Psychology
    • Communications or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Work experience also accepted
  • Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (or Google equivalents)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Experience with learning management systems (LMS), HR systems, or UKG is a plus-but not required.
