Position Overview

The Training and Development Manager will coordinate, develop, and present training programs for plant personnel. Programs include safety, human resources, manufacturing methods, quality control, and leadership development. The manager delivers resources and tools that enhance learning, productivity, safety, and staff engagement, and provides supervision to a small team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assess company‑wide development needs and conduct annual training and development needs assessments.
  • Identify team members’ competency levels and establish training requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational departments to meet specific training needs.
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate training sessions for all levels.
  • Support plant leaders through the front‑line leader program and supervisory skill development.
  • Develop and evaluate training programs using various media aligned with strategic goals.
  • Lead the design, deployment, and communication of training initiatives across the plant.
  • Maintain data, reports, and metrics to track progress toward training objectives.
  • Review and update SOPs, administer training grants, and oversee the training team.
  • Complete administrative tasks and perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, human resources, or related field.
  • Certification in Training and Facilitation, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or Coaching preferred.
  • Minimum two years of training experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Understanding of adult training methods, instructional design, facilitation, and coaching.
  • Strong analytical, collaborative, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong computer literacy.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer.
  • Ability to move around the facility and lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted.
  • Visual and hearing acuity required.
Work Environment

General office environment with necessary personal protective equipment as needed.
