Description:

SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking Research & Development Interns. The R&D Internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge plasma physics and engineering, contributing to the development of advanced beam line technology. These positions will specifically focus on supporting the design and development of mechanical and nuclear systems which ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the facility.


Interns will be involved in the design and implementation of a wide variety of systems. Experience in performing calculations as well as knowledge of equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, valves and control equipment is highly desired. Additionally, the ideal candidates will have some experience with design-based tools such as Solidworks, AutoCAD or Inventor.


The base salary range for this position is $20.00/hour-$23.00/hour.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering or related field.


Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
