Job description


This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight Location several times per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for delivering education and training experiences through a variety of approaches to assigned district and functional area. Provide consultations to business partners to identify training needs and priorities, prescribe appropriate training materials and improve learning outcomes. Work closely with the instructional designer. Coordinate training schedule based on training needs and requirements to promote optimal business results. Problems faced are difficult and complex. Resolutions may require use of creativity and independent judgement. May coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Facilitate virtual and in-person instructor led classes and specialty training assignments (i.e. operation certifications, technical training, etc.)

  • Identify learning needs, prescribe, and deliver education and training plans.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of education solutions as measured by operational tools and reports 4. Develop strategies and/or models to monitor education 4. solutions for sustainable learning transfer and application

  • Lead and coordinate Train-the-Trainer workshops for Delivery team readiness

  • Mentor and coach Learning & Development Specialists and Sr. Specialists

  • Provide support to leadership level across all the regions

  • May provide support to international counterparts based on business needs request

  • Develop and present education strategies, proposals, and outcomes to senior leadership

  • Work closely with instructional designers and developers, providing insight to promote deeper learning transfer

  • Lead and/or participate on committees or projects as assigned

  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

  • Perform other assignments (duties) as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resource management, education, or related field or equivalent work experience plus five (5) years' experience in training facilitation and coaching

  • Master facilitator or presenter with experience developing other senior facilitators and trainers

  • Professional certification in coaching, leadership development or other related discipline (preferred)

  • Advanced analytical, problem solving, and time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of Operations technology systems

  • Must be able to work with employees and management across all levels

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to travel

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as hours may vary based on operational need

  • May be exposed to extreme hot and cold weather changes, dust and fumes in a service center environment
