Job description

Senior Scientist

Bioio, Inc. | St. Louis, MO (on-site) | Full-time

We're a preclinical drug discovery company building first-in-class small molecule therapeutics and a functional genomics AI discovery platform. Lead program is a first-in-class diabetes drug insulin sensitizer that synergizes with GLP-1s. Small team, real ownership, direct line to the CEO.

We need someone fluent in the wet lab and proficient in the dry lab. You'll run the cell-based and biochemical assays that drive our pipelines, then help turn that data into signal our computational platform can learn from. Mostly bench work, but analytical capabilities are critical.

You:

  • PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or similar preferred but not required.
  • Genuinely strong at mammalian cell culture and assay development (this is non-negotiable)
  • Fluent with data analysis
  • Thrive in a lean startup where you own your programs
  • Bonus: metabolic or neuro disease models, screening, drug discovery experience

We offer: competitive salary $90-125K, company-paid health premiums, 401(k) match, equity, flexible time off.

Bioio is an equal opportunity employer.
