WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are not looking for someone who needs direction at every turn. The Field Market Success Manager is a rare hybrid: part brand builder, part account strategist, and fully self-directed. You will own your territory in New York with minimal oversight, and your results will speak for themselves.

The Non-Negotiable: You Are a Self-Starter

  • You identify what needs to be done and do it — without being asked twice

  • You manage your own calendar, priorities, and follow-through with precision

  • You are proactive in building relationships, spotting opportunities, and flagging risks before they become problems

  • You bring ideas, not just execution — you surface market feedback, suggest campaign angles, and push for better outcomes

  • You are comfortable being the only Leafly rep in the room and making that count

  • When no one is watching, your standard of work doesn’t change

ROLE SUMMARY

The Field Market Success Manager (FMSM) is a hybrid role that unites in-market brand activation with strategic customer success management. Operating on a part-time basis across the New York territory, this individual works independently to serve as the face of Leafly to consumers and retail dispensary partners alike — driving brand awareness through events and community engagement while owning retailer relationships to maximize product adoption, retention, and revenue growth.

Because this is a part-time, largely autonomous role, the person in this seat must be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and capable of delivering full-time impact on a flexible schedule. This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do next.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will co-manage your own time across these two pillars.

In-Market Brand Activation

  • Proactively identify and secure event opportunities, dispensary partnerships, and community activations across New York — don’t wait for the calendar to come to you

  • Represent Leafly at dispensary locations, consumer events, trade shows, and industry activations

  • Educate consumers, patients, and budtenders on the full Leafly platform: app features, shopping, deals, and strain tools — far beyond basic brand awareness

  • Build and maintain genuine, lasting relationships with in-store dispensary personnel including managers, buyers, and floor staff

  • Self-direct content creation across approved social media platforms; capture photos, video, and event assets for post-event recaps without needing prompts to do so

  • Coordinate your own event logistics including setup, breakdown, and vendor communication

  • Proactively ensure all activities comply with New York cannabis regulations and Leafly brand standards

  • Submit timely, detailed field recaps covering store visits, events, and budtender engagement — on time, every time, without reminders

Customer Success Management

  • Partner with a portfolio of New York retail dispensary accounts post-onboarding, managing the full relationship lifecycle with minimal supervision

  • Take the initiative to check in with accounts before problems arise — don’t wait for inbound escalations
