Program Manager - IT Portfolio & PMO
LaSalle Network is partnering with a client in the Greater Chicago area to identify a Program Manager to support a high-visibility IT portfolio and PMO function. This role will lead complex enterprise initiatives tied to acquisitions, systems integration, and cross-functional business transformation. The ideal candidate brings strong program leadership, executive communication skills, and the ability to drive alignment, accountability, and delivery across business and IT stakeholders.
Role Summary
This Program Manager will oversee strategic initiatives that impact critical business functions including sales, support, finance, and enterprise systems. The role requires a decisive leader who can guide planning, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate governance, and help teams execute complex programs from kickoff through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead program planning, execution, and governance across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project kickoffs and alignment sessions to establish goals, timelines, deliverables, and ownership.
  • Manage program timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items, including maintenance of RAID logs and status reporting.
  • Partner with business and IT teams to support design workshops, decision-making, and implementation planning across enterprise systems and process areas.
  • Drive stakeholder accountability for milestones, decisions, and issue resolution.
  • Support development planning, testing readiness, cutover coordination, and change management activities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to track deliverables, timelines, and statements of work.
  • Provide clear, timely updates to leadership and key stakeholders on program health, risks, and next steps.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting for leadership review.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • 10+ years of experience in project or program management within complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional meetings, build project plans, manage risks and issues, and drive follow-up to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate options and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise system initiatives such as Quote-to-Cash, Salesforce, CPQ, Master Data Management, SAP, Oracle EBS, or related business platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with system integration testing, data conversion, and enterprise implementation lifecycles preferred.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, highly matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace preferred.
  • PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
