Job Description Fertilizer Trader - Minneapolis, MNADM FertilizerThis is a full-time, exempt position. Job Description:Reporting to the Fertilizer Trade Manager, the qualified individual will contribute to procurement, trading, risk management, and strategy. Collaborating with the other trade fertilizer team leaders on the overall strategy.Focusing on achieving optimum financial results while building strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues, freight providers, and customers.

As a key member of the trade team, this position requires strong strategic thinking, market knowledge, and teamwork.Job Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive fertilizer import, trading, and overall strategy.Identify and act on trading opportunities to optimize the ADM Fertilizer supply chain. Including negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability.Lead strategy while partnering with operations, sales, logistics, and customer support to optimize the product lines.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders in the fertilizer industry. Work closely with ADM sales team supporting customer engagement and overall go to market strategy.Participate in month and quarter end accounting activities.Monitor and analyze market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and competitor activities.Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on trading activities, strategy, market insights and performance metrics to various levels of ADM leadership.Work to attain positive, cooperative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.Ability to work outside normal business hours including weekends.Key Skills & Competencies:Proven experience as a Fertilizer Trader or in a similar role within the agricultural industry, managing positions and leading strategy.Strong knowledge of the fertilizer market, including key players, products, and regulations.Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently and in a group.Possess problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentDemonstrated capacity to manage a position, evaluate and manage risk, perform fundamental and technical analysisQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain ManagementProven track record of responsibility growth, including 3+ years fertilizer trading experience is preferredExcellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate within various levels of an organizationStrong organizational and time-management skills Demonstrated capacity to excel in a fast-paced environmentThis position requires working at a desk both on a telephone and at a computer for prolonged periods of time, as well as traveling to visit customers in various, geographically diverse conditions.Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and TeamsExcited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
