Job description

Summary
Installs, maintains and repairs physical security solutions including intrusion detection, IP-based closed-circuit television (CCTV), access control and intercom systems. Monitors daily activities of installation and service technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Schedules and performs field installation and service work.
  • Plans department delivery activities; defines functions and responsibilities for technicians.
  • Provides assistance with responses to RFBs, RFQs, RFPs and RFIs.
  • Performs and directs research regarding potential projects and admittance to bid proposal lists.
  • Assists in maintaining positive financial posture for department, requiring prudence in making decisions with respect to field work.
  • Maintains manpower projections for projects.
  • Assists with budgets and anticipating growth needs.
  • Oversees maintenance and inventory of company assets, including tools and vehicles.
  • Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.
  • Conducts and/or attends training/safety meetings; supports all directives and requirements regarding OSHA.
  • Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Electronics or equivalent.

Experience / Technical Requirements
  • 3 years relevant work experience in positions of increasing complexity and responsibility along with experience in the following:
  • Installing CCTV, card access panel, security camera and digital recorders for commercial business.
  • Hardwiring of low-voltage electrical systems including all standard cable mediums.
  • Repair work of card access, CCTV, including troubleshooting, tracing, repairing, replacing wires and equipment.
  • Windows Operating Systems, TCP/IP, SQL internet and electronic testing equipment.
  • LAN/WAN topologies, cabling standards and components.
  • Business development, marketing and sales techniques.
  • Technical documentation and electrical blueprints interpretation.
  • Extensive knowledge of low voltage applications.
  • Security system product knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, printers, Microsoft / Windows AD administration, switches and networking.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems.

Certifications
One or more of the following:
  • Cisco Connected Physical Security Specialist
  • Milestone Advanced Certification for XProtect Enterprise and Corporate
  • Ocularis Basic (On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI))
  • iPro Certified Reseller (Panasonic iPro)

Other Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Available to work occasional extended hours, occasional travel and assignments to on-call status.
