Effective security guards help maintain a safe environment for employees and prevent losses due to theft or damage.

What does a warehouse security guard do?

A typical shift for a Warehouse Security Guard involves regular patrols of the premises, monitoring surveillance footage, and verifying the credentials of people entering or leaving the facility. Guards may also conduct inspections at entry and exit points, respond to alarms or unusual activity, and complete detailed incident reports as needed. Shifts can be during the day, evening, or overnight, depending on warehouse operations and security needs. Security Guards usually work independently but collaborate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and occasionally local law enforcement, especially in the event of security breaches or emergencies.
