Job Summary:

Reporting to the Residential Security Agent Team Lead, the Agent provides safe and secure transportation while supporting the Residential Security Team. This role operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and requires maturity, adaptability, and a client-focused, concierge mindset. Ideal candidates have prior Residential Security Agent experience in a dedicated driver role and/or have completed tactical or principal driving training, with a strong knowledge of preferred routes and procedures.

Duties:

    • Ensure the overall safety and security of designated principals and their properties.
    • Maintain a knowledge of baseline principal, property and neighborhood activities
    • Monitor property and area activities and conditions via closed-circuit television camera system and physical perimeter checks
    • Monitor traditional and social media for potential threats
    • Controlling access to properties and maintenance of security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors.
    • Screen and track mail and deliveries
    • Monitor the following:
    • Weather and natural disasters
    • Traffic
    • Public safety incidents and trends
    • Neighborhood watch programs
    • Local and national current events
    • Coordinate with site staff to accomplish common tasks
    • Complete daily household tasks and maintenance as requested by principals
    • Ensures 24/7 operational readiness through stocking supplies and equipment upkeep
    • Operate within parameters established by standard operating procedures and applicable laws
    • Coordinate with and support executive protection element of the team
    • Opportunities for driving and special off-site assignments/details.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in use and proper maintenance for all equipment (i.e., vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.)
    • Potential local travel approximately 5% -10% of the time to other RST sites or principal destinations.
    • Must be flexible and open to working overtime shifts whether they are night or day shift, coming in early and staying late if needed.
    • Must possess the ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to stay vigilant sitting in a vehicle or security office for extended periods of time.
    • Must be a proactive problem solver with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps (Google Drive, Word, Excel & Power Point).
    • Must be dog friendly.
    • Must keep a professional appearance, have good personal hygiene
    • Must be responsive via phone call, text and email as needed to support the team.

    • Capable of regular, non-technical vehicle maintenance (replace wiper fluids, maintain proper inflation of tires, etc.).
    • Must be a reliable team member and maintain a positive attitude.
    • Flexible understanding the need to work overtime with or without advanced notice.
    • Ability to communicate in situations over radios, phone, email, text and in-person. Must be personable, successfully interact with clients, superiors, peers, vendors and neighbors.
    • Required to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • Ability to drive in all weather conditions.
    • Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, push to talk radios, GPS devices, communications, and collaboration apps (Google Drive, Word, Excel & Power Point).
    • Ability to remain professional and courteous at all times.
    • Capable of deciphering GPS traffic notifications and able to plan the safest routes to take.
    • Ability to operate without the need for constant guidance from others.
    • Maintain rational behavior and stay calm under stressful driving conditions and refrain from using inappropriate language.
    • Capable of following instructions and requests without complaint, not commenting, engaging in or joining any conversations of the Principal/passengers without permission.
    • Use of alcohol or medications that impair your driving ability are strictly prohibited.
    • Must keep a professional appearance and have good personal hygiene.

    Position Qualifications, Certificates and Licenses:

    • 2+ years of residential security experience
    • 2-4+ years of combined experience in relevant security, military, and/or law enforcement positions (preferred)
    • Physically fit to facilitate emergency responses
    • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
    • American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED for Adult, Child & Infant certification
    • California BSIS Guard Card
    • California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
    • Must successfully pass an EMT course
    • *All certifications must be current. Employees are responsible for keeping all certifications/licenses active

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly
    • Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary
    • Prolonged periods sitting in a car or at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment (at times 5+ hours).
    • Prolonged periods of standing on your feet without a break 4-5+ hours
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
    • Must be able to lift, drag a human up to 200lbs or more, if necessary
    • Being able to respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, evacuations
    • Able to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands/manual dexterity, reach or stretch, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; speak or hear.
    • Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
    • Vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Detail Structure:

    • Full-time position
