Press brake Operator | JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary


  • The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Essential Functions


  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend metal parts to precise angles and dimensions.
  • Read and interpret blueprint, work orders, and technical drawings.
  • Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings based on material type and thickness
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Measure and verify dimensions using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.


Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
  • Previous experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment
  • Basic math and mechanical skills


Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing or industrial setting with exposure to conditions including, but not limited to, elevated noise levels, sharp objects, moving mechanical equipment, and vibration.
