Job description

As a Lead Equipment Specialist, you will provide nationwide support for Maintenance Control Center (MCC) customers, vendors and other Fleet personnel on a diverse range of technical, administrative and analytical functions relating to MCC program functions and operations.
Location of position: General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Service, Location Negotiable After Selection

We are currently filling four vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Qualifications:

The GS-12 salary range starts at $89,508 per year. Locality will be determined based on duty location.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience with motor vehicle fleet operations to include:

  • leading vehicle maintenance and/or vehicle repair operations to support mission requirements;
  • negotiating prices with vendors for repair services and/or supplies;
  • coordinating with stakeholders to ensure all required information has been gathered to process vehicle repairs; and
  • conducting analysis of fleet management operations to recommend changes to enhance program efficiency.
