We are currently looking for an Sr/Lead Financial Analyst for our Owensboro, KY or Houston, TX office.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and driven to take ownership of their work. This individual is expected to independently manage projects, communicate progress effectively, anticipate challenges, and consistently deliver high-quality results.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, continuously improving processes, and serving as a trusted business partner to Finance leadership and the organization.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, strategic analysis and other various projects
  • Develop the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and 5-year strategic financial plan
  • Prepare, analyze, and report EBITDA forecasts, free cash flow projections, and other key financial metrics
  • Support the monthly close process, analyze, and report on monthly EBITDA results
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance strategic financial models supporting growth projects, capital investments, debt analysis, and business development initiatives
  • Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives while partnering with departments throughout the organization
  • Manage transactional and analytical accounting for all Boardwalk Pipelines entities
  • Conduct monthly budget center reviews, detailed account analyses, and variance reporting
  • Design, develop, and analyze financial and operational reports to support management decision-making
  • Generate and present financial analyses and recommendations to Finance leadership and executive management
  • Prepare financial information and supporting analyses for external customers and federal regulatory reporting
  • Assist in the implementation, enhancement, testing, and continuous improvement of financial systems and reporting tools
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, and overall department effectiveness
  • Serve as a financial resource and mentor to other analysts while promoting best practices across the FP&A teams

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the initiative to independently lead projects and drive results
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and maintain a highly organized approach to work
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage projects from concept through completion with minimal supervision
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across multiple departments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Suite or other integrated financial systems

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and financial modeling
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Experience supporting executive leadership with financial analysis and strategic recommendations

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
