Job Summary

The Sr Analyst, Fresh Food Analytics & Supply Planning supports end-to-end analytics, financial modeling, and performance reporting for the Fresh Foods network and Business System, integrating supplier financial economics, supply planning analytics, and business system reporting into a single, scalable function that drives transparency, cost optimization, and data-driven decision making. This role serves as a strategic thought partner to Category, Merchandising Planning, FP&A, Demand Chain, and Operations teams by developing insights, models, and tools that optimize supplier economics, inventory management, capacity utilization, and overall Fresh Food profitability. The position requires translating complex data into actionable recommendations that influence cross-functional decision-making and drive measurable business outcomes across the Fresh Foods network.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain should-cost models and financial frameworks to support supplier negotiations, pricing decisions, cost improvement initiatives, and supplier financial reviews

Manage inventory visibility and supply planning analytics across suppliers, performing scenario modeling and network planning analysis to evaluate volume shifts, capacity constraints, and distribution strategies

Develops robust new processes to enhance inventory planning and management, supplier and distribution accountability, and continuous improvement for how new programs are implemented.

Lead development and maintenance of network dashboards and operational scorecards that track KPIs including service levels, waste, costs, production efficiency, and utilization across Fresh Food categories

Own end-to-end KPI tracking and performance management, monitoring results against targets, identifying trends and risks, and managing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for internal stakeholders and leadership

Collaborate with Category, Demand Planning, and Merchandising teams to forecast sales for new items, model promotional lift and spend, and track category and product profitability

Build financial models and business cases to support Fresh Food strategic initiatives, operational improvements, network optimization decisions, and expansion opportunities

Analyze production capacity, utilization, and operational constraints to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic decisions related to network planning

Design and enhance data-driven tools including dashboards, reports, and analytics platforms to improve operational execution and enable better cross-functional decision-making

Ensure accuracy of cost changes, new item setup, and system inputs while maintaining a centralized reporting and analytics repository for data consistency and visibility

Translate complex analytical findings into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations that drive business strategy and operational improvements

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field required

5+ years of relevant experience in analytics, finance, supply chain analytics, operations analytics, or related analytical roles

Proven experience in retail analytics, food manufacturing finance, or supply chain analytics with exposure to supplier economics and network planning

Experience developing financial models, business cases, and should-cost models to support strategic decision-making and negotiations

Background in inventory management, demand planning, or supply planning analytics preferred

Specific Knowledge and Skills

Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, analytics, and business case development with strong quantitative and analytical capabilities

Expert knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation, with Power BI experience for dashboard development and data visualization

Strong understanding of supplier economics, cost structures, margin analysis, and P&L management in retail or manufacturing environments

Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive measurable business outcomes and influence executive decision-making

Experience with inventory management, capacity planning, and supply chain KPIs

Proficiency in scenario modeling, forecasting techniques, and promotional analysis to support merchandising and planning decisions

Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills with ability to partner effectively across Category, Demand Chain, and Operations teams

Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to distill complex analytical findings into clear recommendations

Highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage complex data across a full network while maintaining accuracy and consistency

Experience designing and implementing dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that drive operational performance and transparency
