Job description

We are seeking an experiencedLead DBA/Developer to join a small, highly technical team of database engineers globally. This team focuses on designing, developing,optimizing, andmaintainingcloud-based database platforms across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments. This is a hands-on technical role focused on PostgreSQL development, SQL coding, data conversion, and database optimization, while continuing to support MSSQL environments serving US Government and commercial customers.

About You - Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments

  • 7+ years of experience as a SQL Developer, Database Developer, DBA Engineer, or similar database-focused role.

  • 7+ years of experience with relational database architecture, logical and physical database design, and performance optimization.

  • 7+ years of experience developing and supporting PostgreSQL, MSSQL Server, or other enterprise database platforms.

  • 7+ years of experience writing and optimizing SQL code, stored procedures, and database objects.

  • 7+ years of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and database services.

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder with an active Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

It Would Be Great If You Also Had...

  • Experience supporting ETL processes, data warehousing, and data migration/conversion projects.

  • Strong understanding of table relationships, data modeling, and database performance tuning.

  • Strongexpertisewith PostgreSQL in AWS environments.

  • Experience with MSSQL Server development and administration.

  • Experience with DevOps, automation, andCloudOpsprocesses.

  • Partner with software engineering teams to support ETL processes, data warehousing, and database-driven applications.

  • Support AWS-hosted database environments supporting US Government and commercial customers.

  • Troubleshoot database performance, data quality, and application-related issues.

  • Collaborate with development teams to define best practices for database design, deployment, and ongoing support.

Hours of Work

  • Full time, permanent position

  • Hybrid working schedule on-site 2-3 days/week

  • Must live within a commutable distance to one of our US office locations - Alexandria, VA highly preferred. Will also consider Philadelphia, PA
