The Lead Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Lead Medical Assistant assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment.

Job Functions:

  • You will perform clinical tasks, including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs., medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, and collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms.

  • You will document information into the electronic medical records system.

  • You will collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.

  • You will deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.

  • You will make decisions regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and external vendors.

  • You will contribute to process improvement, deliver in-depth training, and provide advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

Required

  • Certified or Registered

  • Phlebotomy Experience

  • Medication/vaccine administration experience

  • 3+ years MA Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • CPR Certified

Other

  • 1+ years of MA experience in PCO center

  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 to 5:00

Location: Onsite at CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 1766 East Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104-1945

This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
