The Customer Service Associate performs all register transactions, including Returns/ Exchanges, Layaways, and Employee purchases accurately and efficiently in accordance with Forman Mills policies and procedures.
Provides a Courteous, Fast and Friendly check out to all customers entering and leaving Forman Mills.
Maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding a fast and friendly customer checkout
• Ensure outstanding customer service by greeting, assisting and thanking each customer in a positive approachable manner.
• Ensures all customer transactions are handled in a timely professional manner
• Present a positive image towards all team members, customers and the community.
• Responsible for accurately scanning all merchandise to prevent any inventory adjustments
• Responsible to handle all cash transaction and providing accurate change.
• Responsible to handle all media transaction including credit and debit accurately as to Forman Mills card acceptance guidelines.
• Cashier is and will be held fully accountable for all cash management/handling processes including over/shorts, counterfeit money and all Forman Mills Register Transactions on their dedicated register.
• Responsible to return and exchange merchandise accurately through the POS system following Forman Mills return policies and procedures
• Responsible for maintaining accurate Layaway transactions, when creating, accepting payments, final layaway pick-ups, and layaway cancelations following Forman Mills Layaway policies and Procedures.
• Responsible to notify manager on duty for all Employee's purchases and returns following Forman Mills policies and procedures.
• Performs additional tasks when needed outside the front-end area to include:
o Salesfloor recovery
o Merchandising/ stocking
o Markdowns
o Hanging and processing new merchandise
• Help deter theft by reporting all dishonest behavior to management and/ or Loss Prevention department
Position Requirements:
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including 2-3 nights per week, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
