Ministry Residency

  • Purpose. MH Residency & Seminary helps fulfill Mercy Hill Church's mission to "make disciples and multiply churches" by recruiting, training, and mentoring young ministry leaders for the purpose of sending.
  • What: The Ministry Residency consists of a 2-year staff assignment at Mercy Hill Church, which focuses on:
    • Training through: (1) completion of a 2-year theological master's degree in partnership with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and (2) partnership with Reliant to help residents learn how to develop a ministry network for financial and prayer support.
    • Mentoring through: (1) active participation in a specific and/or general churchwide ministry opportunity under close pastoral supervision, and (2) development unto leveraging affirmed spiritual gifts with confidence in ministry leadership. Potential ministry residency opportunities may include College Ministry, Next Generation, Missions, Worship, and others.
  • Who: This Residency is for recent college graduates who desire to enter full-time vocational ministry, lay ministry, or the marketplace and want to maximize their impact in the world. Graduates of Mercy Hill's residency go on to assume roles in church planting, pastoral and staff ministry positions, missions, parachurch organizations, the workplace, and more.
