Job description

Lithonia High School is seeking a motivated Baseball  Community Coach, who has a passion for working with high school students. The ideal candidate should have excellent instructional delivery skills and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.

Title: Community Coach
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach in the sport that you express an interest. Candidate must be willing to assist the Head Coach in game techniques and strategies to prepare them for competition, and determine the need for individual or team improvement; candidate must be willing to accept directions from the Head Coach at all times. A Lay Coach will be required to assist with maintaining inventory of athletic equipment, maintain up to date knowledge of first aid techniques, and maintain locker room and playing facilities.
Community Coaches are temporary positions and must be renewed annually.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, PERMITS:
Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required.
Valid certificate in first aid required.
