Job description


Pool and Spa Depot is interviewing candidates for the position of Service Writer to join our Service Department. This position will be based from LaVergne, TN headquarters.
The Service Writer (SW) provides customers with courteous customer service either in person or over the phone. The SW strives to retain current customers and develop new business by extending professional, efficient service and suggesting additional services and products to meet the customer's needs.
Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
  • Provide account information to customers including previous service calls amp; completed repairs
  • Schedule service calls
  • Perform account maintenance, create new contacts, update existing contacts amp; accounts
  • Build relationships amp; trust with customers amp; potential customers by listening to their needs amp; educating them about our products amp; services
  • Respond to customers requesting to cancel service calls by determining the reason amp; offer alternatives
  • Provide timely resolution to customer complaints, concerns and issues
  • Schedule amp; coordinate delivery/install of products to customer’s homes, service calls amp; repairs to a wide range of leisure products
  • Accurately communicate customer concerns to technical staff
  • Maintain a working knowledge of products and services
  • Other duties as designated by the management team.

Qualifications:
  • Must have the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments
  • Must be fluid and able to adapt to changes in daily priorities
  • Must be able to use web based software (Google Mail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, etc)
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience as a Service Writer, Service Scheduler, Dispatcher or similar role is preferred, but not a requirement
  • High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
  • Open availability and excellent time management skills are a must in this role
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
