This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

SUMMARY:
As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of guest room and Food and Beverage outlet linens and terry, contributing to a positive experience for our guests and associates. You will help ensure the efficient and effective operation of our laundry facilities by working as a team to wash, dry and process all required items in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines and dryers
-Follow proper handling and storage of clean and soiled linens
-Keep laundry area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
-Assist with inventory management and ordering of laundry supplies, as needed
-Collaborate with housekeeping and other hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens
-Handle guest and associate requests for additional linens or laundry services
-Adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals
-Understands limited basics of Laundry maintenance & preventative maintenance.
-Ensure all maintenance issues are promptly reported to Engineering Department and Housekeeping leadership
-Maintain daily logs as assigned in Laundry to ensure efficiency of processing items
-Work in a fast-paced environment, flexible with spontaneous demands from guests and for business needs.
-Display professional image at all times through appearance and conduct
-Within position scope, ensure hotel is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA
-Uses the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): gloves and safety glasses and hearing protection, as needed
-Report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to management
-Maintain proper cleanliness of Main Laundry room according to shift checklists and as assigned by leadership
-Have knowledge about all emergency procedures and know how to act on them.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

-Basic understanding of fabric care and laundry procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift (8hrs)
Must be able to push and pull bins upwards of 50lbs
Is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects
Is required to frequently reach with hands and arms
Is occasionally required to sit and stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl
