Job description

  • Assist with patient care as needed, including performing EKG’s.

 

  • Accept laundry delivery and put away as necessary.

 

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living.

 

  • Provide transportation of specimens to Frozen Section lab.

 

  • Assist in discharge of patients from the facility.

 

  • Clean beds between patients and remake and transfer beds to the Holding Area, as needed.

 

  • Responsible for maintaining stock in the PACU, Recovery Lounge, Recovery Lounge Bathroom and Visitor’s Bathroom.

 

  • Responsible for annual inventory, as directed by the Purchasing Coordinator.

 

  • Responsible for weekly cleaning of PACU and Recovery Lounge.

 

  • Responsible for copying of forms or articles, as directed.

 

  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining appropriate supply of patients’ nourishments.

 

  • Perform daily cleaning of facility as assigned by OR/PACU Charge Nurse or Clinical Manager.

 

  • Opening, unloading, and distributing freight.

 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Clinical Manager.

 

  • Check and remove laundry bags as they fill.

 

  • Discharge patients to car when asked.

 

  • Check and restock Recovery Lounge cupboards for day.
