Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the project ledger accounts by monitoring; preparing monthly entries and reconciling accounts monthly. Maintain controls over project ledger
  • Cash planning cycle - cash collection and deposit, cash budgeting, cash payments
  • Act as a mentor within the finance organization
  • Records and analyzes different accounting and cost procedures and controls related to assigned tasks
  • Interprets various accounts related data, analyzes financial reports and recommends and/or initiates the necessary actions to be taken
  • Verifies accuracy of data and data processing of accounting related information.
  • Full responsibility for items billed and accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash receipts, etc.
  • Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy, applying observations and recommendations to operational issues
  • Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years' experience with Cost Point
  • In depth Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge and skill in work supervising methods and techniques
  • Familiar with the use of computerized accounting systems, financial software applications and Microsoft Word and Excel
  • An ideal candidate will come from a Government Contracting background.
