Founded in 2016 with headquarters in Santa Barbara, California, Bitwarden is supported by a passionate global community of security experts and enthusiasts.
As Sr. Product Manager, Mobile at Bitwarden, you will own the strategy and execution for our iOS and Android applications. You will drive adoption and engagement by building an intuitive mobile experience. You will be meticulous about the default out-of-box experience and how to get users building strong security habits in as few steps as possible. You will tackle mobile-specific challenges: autofill reliability, offline access, biometric authentication, and platform-specific constraints. You will partner closely with engineering, design, and security teams to deliver launches that delight users and strengthen Bitwarden's competitive position against 1Password, Keeper, Dashlane, and LastPass as well as Apple Keychain and Google Password Manager. You will use qualitative customer feedback and adoption metrics to inform roadmap decisions, thinking deeply about both individual users and enterprise customers investing in employee security adoption.
This is an all-remote team and we're looking for someone located in the U.S. with no preference for time zone. We do not offer visa sponsorship at this time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be the product and market expert in how competitors (1Password, Keeper, Dashlane, LastPass, Apple Keychain, Google Password Manager) solve mobile password management, autofill, and passkey support and assess Bitwarden mobile positioning
  • Own the product and technology strategy for iOS and Android, including roadmap prioritization, feature specification, and platform-specific decisions
  • Engage directly with customers, prospects, and community members to understand mobile-specific pain points and feature requests
  • Define and communicate success metrics for mobile adoption, engagement, autofill success rates, retention, and churn
  • Drive cross-platform feature parity while accounting for iOS and Android architectural differences and App Store/Play Store review requirements
  • Write clear product specifications and strategy documents that guide engineering decisions and align stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the mobile engineering team to ensure technical feasibility, prioritize technical debt, and manage dependencies
  • Partner with design to craft intuitive UX for mobile constraints
  • Manage product quality through QA coordination, bug triage, and post-launch monitoring
  • Regularly communicate performance metrics, roadmap updates, and wins to leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Engage with the Bitwarden community across GitHub, forums, and social channels to gather feedback and provide transparency on mobile development
  • Use AI tools to accelerate spec writing, competitive analysis, and rapid prototyping

WHAT YOU BRING TO BITWARDEN
  • 6+ years of product management experience focused on mobile (iOS and/or Android) products
  • Experience shipping mobile apps on one or both platforms (App Store and Google Play)
  • Ability to empathize with customer needs and emotional intelligence to build strong relationships across distributed teams
  • Comfort with technical discussions about mobile architecture, native vs. cross-platform trade-offs, and platform APIs (autofill frameworks, biometric SDKs, secure storage)
  • Experience or familiarity with mobile autofill, biometric authentication, or security-focused mobile apps a strong plus
  • Extremely organized and skilled at making informed prioritization decisions with competing engineering constraints (platform fragmentation, OS version support, performance)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A growth mindset and desire to learn from others
  • Excitement and enthusiasm for open source, internet security, and building products that protect users

In the United States, the starting base compensation range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, relevant experience, and skill set as assessed in the interview process, as well as market data by location. See our careers page for a list of benefits.
