As a Laser Electro-Optical Technician, you'll work hands-on with precision optics, UAV subassemblies, and advanced laser modules. What you'll do

  • Assemble and integrate laser and UAV subassemblies into complete systems
  • Align and test laser modules following detailed work instructions
  • Inspect optical components under a microscope before and after assembly
  • Operate lab equipment including oscilloscopes, energy meters, and beam imaging systems
  • Record test data and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support engineering with experiments and troubleshooting
  • Follow cleanroom protocols and maintain a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals
  • Assist with tasks across laser manufacturing and quality control

What you need

  • Required: Experience with optical beamlines, laser optics cleaning, and bonding techniques
  • Required: Proficiency with lab tools (diode lasers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, microscopes)
  • Required: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
  • Required: High mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
  • Advantage: 3-5 years in laser module manufacturing, especially solid-state diode-pumped lasers
  • Advantage: 2-4 years in UAV/drone manufacturing
  • Advantage: Experience in electronics, aerospace, or high-tech industries
  • Advantage: BS or AS in a technical field (science, engineering, or laser electro-optical technology)
