Large Format Print & Installation Specialist

AlphaGraphics Madison is looking for an experienced Large Format Print & Installation Specialist to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who knows the large format/sign industry and is looking for more than just another production job. We are looking for a skilled, dependable team member who takes pride in producing great work, enjoys variety, and wants the opportunity to grow professionally and financially.

The right candidate will combine hands-on large format production and installation experience with strong technical and creative skills. Our environment is fast-paced, our projects are diverse, and priorities can change quickly—so the ability to problem-solve, multitask, communicate and work as part of a team is essential.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities may include:

  • Produce large format graphics and signage from file preparation through finishing
  • Operate Epson flatbed and wide-format printing equipment
  • Operate Zünd digital cutting equipment for contour cutting and routing
  • Install vinyl graphics on windows, walls, vehicles and other surfaces
  • Produce and install vehicle graphics and wraps
  • Laminate and finish printed graphics
  • Weed and apply cut vinyl
  • Contour cut decals and stickers using a Summa plotter
  • Hem and grommet banners
  • Evaluate customer files and prepare artwork for large format production
  • Determine appropriate substrates, vinyls and finishing methods for different applications
  • Assist with custom signage and specialty graphic installations
  • Maintain quality standards while meeting customer deadlines
  • Pitch in and assist other production departments when needed
What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Previous large format printing, signage and/or graphics production experience
  • Vinyl installation experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Understanding of file setup for cut vinyl, large signage, vehicle graphics and other large format applications
  • Knowledge of common large format substrates, adhesives and finishing techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and shifting priorities
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • A positive, upbeat attitude and team-first mentality
  • Willingness to work both in production and on off-site installations
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to installation sites in a company vehicle

Experience with Epson flatbed printers, Zünd cutting systems and Graphtec plotters is especially valuable.
