Job description

Project Manager โ€“ Drywall & Exterior Facades
Lara and Sons Construction
Location:
Idaho Falls and Surrounding Areas
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: DOE
About Us:
At Lara and Sons Construction, we donโ€™t just โ€œsub it outโ€โ€”we own the wall, inside and out. Specializing in drywall, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, and all exterior facades like stucco, siding, masonry, panel systems,ย  and specialty siding weโ€™re the team behind the skin and structure of multifamily and commercial builds across the region. From layout to final punch, weโ€™re driving production and building with pride.
Position Overview:
Weโ€™re looking for a Project Manager to lead and coordinate drywall and exterior facade scopes from kickoff to closeout. This role requires a sharp eye, a tight schedule, and boots-on-the-ground leadership. Youโ€™ll be the link between the field, the office, and the clientโ€”ensuring quality installs, budget control, and clean execution across multiple trades within our vertical scopes only.

What Youโ€™ll Own:
  • Full responsibility for drywall and exterior scope execution on multifamily and commercial projects.
  • Coordinate layout, material drops, manpower, and daily production with site supervisors and foremen.
  • Manage schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders for your scopes.
  • Review plans and shop drawings to verify accuracy and catch conflicts early.
  • Conduct site visits and quality checks to ensure scope compliance and finish standards.
  • Work closely with general contractors, vendors, and our field teams to keep timelines tight and budgets aligned.
  • Track cost-to-complete, flag risks, and provide weekly updates to leadership.
  • Close out projects cleanlyโ€”final inspections, punch list, and scope wrap-up.

What You Bring:
  • 3+ years managing drywall and/or exterior finish scopes (stucco, siding, panel systems, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, construction sequencing, and vertical trades coordination.
  • Clear communicatorโ€”knows when to call the GC, when to push the sub, and when to escalate.
  • Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure.
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a big plus.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license; comfortable traveling to job sites.

Why Lara and Sons:
  • Weโ€™re family-owned and systems-driven.
  • We build solid crews and run lean, high-output jobs.
  • No corporate fluffโ€”just real work, real people, and real growth.
  • Competitive pay, opportunity to lead, and a pipeline full of amazing builds.
