Job description

We are looking for interpreters fluent in the following languages: Hmong

Global Language Connections provides interpreting and translation services to hospitals, clinics, legal, and educational sectors. We are currently looking for professional interpreters and translators to work as independent contractors. The flexible schedule allows you to work when you are available.

We are looking for Interpreters in the Minnesota St Paul area: West St Paul, South St. Paul, and North St Paul

CORE RESPONSIBILITIESโ€ข

  • Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor
  • Comply with the Interpreter Code of Ethics
  • Perform duties in a professional manner
  • Turn in client worksheets within 24 hours of the appointment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must demonstrate fluency in English and language you are interpreting
  • Effective in time management
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Medical or legal interpreter training -
  • Examples: Interpreting degree, 40 Hours CoreCHI Community Interpreter Continuing Education
  • Prior interpreting preferred
  • Completed Immunization Records
  • Proof of citizenship or valid work permit
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferably some college
  • Must be able to pass Background Checks
