Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized tools and observational methods.
  • Design customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on language, pronunciation, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, families, and caregivers to ensure an integrated approach to care.
  • Educate patients and their families to promote progress beyond the therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally perform inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Remain engaged with the latest developments in the field through continuous education and dialogue with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within the first month of employment.
