Bay Colony is one of Naples most upscale communities in Southwest Florida. The community is private community within Pelican Bay and is embraced by a gracious perimeter. The meticulously manicured community which is spread across 200 acres is brimming with stately palm trees and luxuriant floral plantings while all the roadways are paved in brick.


The residents of Bay Colony enjoy membership privileges in the Bay Colony Beach Club and Tennis Club. The Beach Club is located on two miles of pristine beach, offers an array of fine dining experiences, from casual to elegant, plus outdoor amenities including private beach, swimming pool, sun deck,  and chickee bar.  The Tennis Club features six courts and a Pro Shop.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives company vehicles used to transport employees and pick up supplies daily.
  • In-charge of specific landscape areas throughout the community and the Estates of Bay Colony.
  • Oversee the safe operation of equipment such as push mowers, riding mowers, hedge trimmers, weed eater, stick edger, vacuums and blowers.
  • Oversee the fertilization of turf grass and landscaped areas.
  • Reports machinery/equipment problems to the supervisor.
  • Assists Crew with the trimming of trees, cutting grass, weeding and trimming bushes.
  • Applies chemicals and pesticides.
  • Available during off business hours for emergency situations in the community. Weekend duty may be required.
  • Identifies staff training needs, proper use of tools and equipment, safety, etc. 
  • Supervise contracted services and assist with identification of need for contracted services. 
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Three to five (3 - 5) years' experience in landscape maintenance and/or landscape installation required. Supervisory experience helpful but not required; will train.
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Must have knowledge of native Florida plants and ecosystems (ornamental).
  • Experience working at a private country club or private upscale community preferred. 
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, multi-task oriented and possess excellent communication skills. 
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Pesticide Application License/CPO Lawn & Ornamental preferred.
