Job description

Landscape Maintenance & Snow Estimator

Location: Ancaster, ON

Join the CSL Group Family

At CSL Group Ltd., we're more than a landscaping company. We're a family-owned business built on our SHARING values: Safety, Humility, Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Nurturing, and Growth.

For over 40 years, we've partnered with commercial, municipal, institutional, and industrial clients to keep their properties safe, beautiful, and professionally maintained throughout every season.

If you're looking for a career where your work directly contributes to winning exciting projects and growing a respected Ontario company, we'd love to meet you.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Landscape Maintenance & Snow Estimator to lead the preparation of competitive tenders for commercial landscape maintenance and snow & ice management contracts.

This is not a heavy civil or building construction estimating position.

Instead, you'll focus on pricing annual landscape maintenance contracts, seasonal snow agreements, and public sector tenders for municipalities, school boards, hospitals, property managers, and commercial clients.

You'll work closely with our Sales and Operations teams to develop accurate, competitive submissions that win work while ensuring contracts can be delivered efficiently and profitably.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Review tender documents, scopes of work, and contract requirements.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for commercial landscape maintenance and snow & ice management contracts.
  • Coordinate and complete tender submissions through procurement platforms such as MERX, Biddingo, Bonfire, and other electronic bidding systems.
  • Analyze labour requirements, production rates, equipment utilization, subcontractor costs, materials, and overhead.
  • Attend site meetings and property walkthroughs to verify scope and identify pricing considerations.
  • Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Work with Operations to ensure estimates reflect realistic production rates and service expectations.
  • Identify risks, assumptions, exclusions, and opportunities before submission.
  • Ensure bids are complete, compliant, and submitted before deadlines.
  • Maintain estimating databases, production metrics, and historical pricing information.
  • Support continuous improvements to our estimating processes and tools.
What Makes You a Great Fit

We're less concerned about having a specific title and more interested in your experience preparing competitive bids.

You may currently work as an:

  • Landscape Estimator
  • Maintenance Estimator
  • Tender Coordinator
  • Bid Coordinator
  • Proposal Coordinator
  • Landscape Operations Manager
  • Branch Manager
  • Account Manager
  • Snow Operations Manager
  • Property Maintenance Manager
We're looking for someone who has:
  • 3-5 years of experience preparing estimates, tenders, proposals, or managing commercial landscape maintenance or snow contracts.
  • Experience submitting public tenders using platforms such as MERX, Biddingo, Bonfire, or similar procurement systems.
  • Experience pricing labour, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and production rates.
  • A strong understanding of commercial landscape maintenance and/or snow & ice management operations.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Operations, and senior leadership.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience bidding municipal, provincial, or institutional contracts.
  • Knowledge of commercial landscaping or facilities maintenance.
  • Experience working with property managers, municipalities, school boards, healthcare, or government clients.
  • Experience using estimating software or advanced Excel pricing models.
Why CSL?

At CSL, you'll be joining a company where your work truly matters. Every successful tender helps create new opportunities for our employees and supports communities across Ontario.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Company-paid health and dental benefits
  • Vision care
  • Life insurance
  • Long-term disability coverage
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Deferred Profit Sharing Program (DPSP)
  • Company-paid uniforms
  • Safety boot allowance
  • Employee appreciation events
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Career growth within a growing, family-owned company
Ready to Help Us Win?

If you enjoy solving problems, building competitive tenders, and working with a collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help shape the future of commercial landscape maintenance and snow management across Ontario.
