Job Overview

Harold Jones Landscape Inc is seeking an experienced, hands-on Landscaping Foreman to lead high-end residential maintenance crews in the Santa Barbara and Montecito areas. This field-based leadership role requires someone with a sharp eye for detail, the ability to set daily task plans, and the professionalism to maintain pristine landscapes for discerning clientele. You’ll be responsible for executing property-specific checklists, operating landscape equipment, managing crews, and ensuring every site is completed to our rigorous standards.

If you’re dependable, take pride in your work, and have experience in high-end estate maintenance, we want to hear from you.

Who We Are

Harold Jones Landscape Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned company specializing in exceptional residential landscape construction and maintenance across California. For over 65 years, we’ve delivered stunning outdoor environments with an unwavering focus on quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships. In Montecito and Santa Barbara, we maintain some of the region’s most beautiful estate properties—requiring foremen who can lead with accountability and polish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely arrival, adherence to schedule, and efficient task execution across multiple properties
  • Conduct tailgate safety talks and enforce safe equipment usage and jobsite behavior

Quality Control & Property Standards

  • Execute and enforce property-specific checklists on every visit
  • Perform final walkthroughs to confirm work quality before departure
  • Identify and report issues (e.g., irrigation problems, plant health concerns, damage) to the Maintenance Project Manager

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping tools
  • Ensure all equipment is fueled, cleaned, and properly maintained weekly
  • Coordinate any equipment issues or replacements with management

Client Sensitivity & Site Presentation

  • Maintain a professional appearance and respectful demeanor on all properties
  • Uphold white-glove service standards expected by high-end residential clients

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in residential or estate landscape maintenance
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a landscaping crew
  • Strong understanding of mowing, edging, pruning, and irrigation basics
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Santa Barbara/Montecito area
  • Valid driver’s license is a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with high-end residential property standards
  • Experience working alongside landscape maintenance project managers
  • Basic knowledge of irrigation systems (identify—not repair—broken heads, timers, etc.)

Benefits

  • Weekly Pay Cycle
  • Medical and Dental Insurance
  • Paid Time Off, Holidays, and Sick Leave
  • Company-Provided Uniforms and Safety Gear
  • Training, Certifications, and Career Growth Opportunities
  • Participation in Team Events and Recognition Programs

  • Full-Time – Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM
  • Field-based; daily travel to high-end residential sites in Montecito/Santa Barbara
  • Occasional Saturdays during peak season

Work Location
