Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer
Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $85k - $115k | On-site

Konik is partnering with a well-established architecture and engineering firm to add a Landscape Architect/Designer to its team. Projects include outdoor environments for education, civic, and community-focused projects. This role offers a blend of design, technical execution, and project involvement from concept through construction administration.

Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer Responsibilities:

  • Develop landscape plans, site layouts, and design concepts for schools, civic, and community-based projects
  • Support projects through city planning, including coordination with municipalities and watershed districts
  • Perform site design work, including site/landform grading, stormwater considerations, and general site planning
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and consultants to integrate site and infrastructure design
  • Produce construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits and coordination during active projects
  • Contribute to project discussions, client meetings, and design development efforts
  • Support seasonal project cycles, with heavier field involvement during summer months

Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer Qualifications:

  • 6-15 years of experience in landscape architecture and site design for commercial, educational, or civic projects
  • Professional degree (BLA or MLA) from an accredited Landscape Architecture program
  • Licensed Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA) or actively pursuing licensure within 2 years; CLARB participation or on track for certification preferred
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with site planning, grading, and working around stormwater/watershed requirements
  • Ability to take projects from concept through construction documentation and CA
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
