Based in Hanover's Houston corporate office, the Landscape Associate will work closely with Hanover's Landscape Architecture team to help create exceptional outdoor environments that enhance the resident experience and contribute to the success of our award-winning developments. Key Responsibilities
Landscape Design & Documentation
  • Assist in the design and development of landscape architecture concepts for luxury multifamily communities nationwide.
    Support project teams in preparing site plans, landscape plans, hardscape layouts, planting plans, and design presentations.
  • Contribute to the design of streetscapes, plazas, parks, amenity courtyards, rooftop amenity spaces, and other outdoor environments.
  • Prepare and coordinate construction documents, details, specifications, and supporting project materials.
    Assist with the selection of landscape materials, site furnishings, finishes, and related design elements.
Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with Landscape Architects, Development Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and coordination efforts to ensure project objectives and design standards are achieved.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, deadlines, and quality expectations.
Construction Administration
  • Participate in construction administration activities including site observations, field reports, and coordination with contractors and consultants.
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and requests for information under the guidance of Project Landscape Architects.
  • Assist in evaluating construction progress and helping ensure design intent is executed in the field.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to support construction administration activities and project coordination.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture required.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of professional experience in landscape architecture or related design field required. Multifamily experience preferred.
  • Passion for design, creativity, and continuous professional growth.
  • Strong design, graphic presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience preparing construction documents and technical design drawings.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically throughout the United States for project meetings, site visits, and construction administration activities required.
  • Position is based in Hanover's Houston corporate office. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
