Position Summary:
The Landscape Technician I will be responsible for assisting in maintenance and safety of the campus grounds in all locations; including upkeep such as lawn care, seasonal plantings, snow removal and tree trimming to maintain the aesthetics of the property. This role positively contributes to the overall visitor and staff experience. This role reports to the Director of CAPP.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Manage growth and condition of all plants, trees, shrubs, and ground cover (indoors and outdoors) by utilizing lawn care equipment and tools for maintaining plant care
- Provide snow removal and salting services for all properties.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on machines and equipment to ensure proper and efficient functioning.
- Maintain aesthetic landscape design and update related paperwork. Participate in ongoing design/redesign of grounds and gardens.
- Provide tree trimming, pesticide/fertilizer application services
- Participate in “on-callrotation” of facilities maintenance.
- Support various events throughout the Art Center.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Landscaping maintenance in one or more fields (horticulture, landscaping, arborist; etc.)
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Customer service
- Knowledge of proper use of land scape equipment.
- Flexible schedule for snow removal conditions
Qualifications:
- Associate degree with study in Landscape Horticulture
- 1-3years’ landscaping experience.
- 1-3years’experiencewith hand and power tools, small engine maintenance and the ability to troubleshoot.
- Valid Wisconsin’s Driver’s License
