What You Will Be Doing

As a Landscape Architect Project Manager, you will take a leadership role in the design and delivery of diverse public and private sector projects—ranging from parks and streetscapes to urban design and community master planning. You will manage project teams, foster client relationships, and mentor emerging professionals in a collaborative, design-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple landscape architecture projects from concept through construction documentation and implementation.
  • Develop, coordinate, and review design plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare compelling proposal materials, project narratives, and visual presentations to support business development and marketing efforts.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet client goals and firm standards.
  • Facilitate public engagement activities such as stakeholder meetings, workshops, and open houses.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, planners, architects, and environmental specialists to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Serve as a client liaison, maintaining clear communication, managing expectations, and identifying opportunities for new and continuing work.
  • Guide and mentor junior landscape architects and design staff, fostering growth through design reviews, technical guidance, and career development.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of standard specifications, design details, and best practices for the Landscape Architecture group.
  • Participate in occasional client outreach, marketing, and business development initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Licensure as a Landscape Architect in SC (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in landscape architecture, including project management and client interaction.
  • Strong design sensibility, technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other relevant design software.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and supporting team members.
  • Bolton & Menk will currently not be providing visa sponsorship or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
