Used Car Manager – Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram

Landmark Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram is seeking a dynamic and experienced Used Car Manager to join our high-performing team. The ideal candidate will be results-driven with a proven track record in used car operations, inventory management, and leadership. This position plays a critical role in maximizing profitability, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the used car department, including inventory acquisition, merchandising, and pricing strategies

  • Appraise trade-ins and purchases accurately to ensure maximum profitability

  • Monitor used vehicle performance metrics, including turn rates, gross profit, and reconditioning costs

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies that drive volume and profitability

  • Ensure all vehicles are properly reconditioned, photographed, and listed online in a timely manner

  • Maintain compliance with all dealership policies and applicable laws

  • Train, coach, and develop staff to meet department goals and deliver an exceptional customer experience

  • Work with vendors, auctions, and wholesalers to source high-quality inventory

  • Stay current with market trends and competitor pricing to optimize inventory and profit margins

  • Coordinate closely with F&I and service departments to streamline the customer delivery process

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or in a similar automotive leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle valuation, reconditioning, and inventory management

  • Ability to manage a team effectively and drive results in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in dealership management software and online vehicle merchandising platforms

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in automotive sales and used vehicle operations
