Exciting Opportunity: Join Our Team as a Residential Lawn Service Manager!


Salary: up to $60k based on experience + Revenu Bonus


Schedule: Monday - Saturday, occassional Sundays* as well

Hours: start to finish job, so depends on last job completed

Required: 3-5 years of residential lawn maintenance management experience.

How You'll Make an Impact:

As ABC's Residential Lawn Service Manager, you will perform service duties, supervises and coordinates the activities of our Land Maintenance Specialists. Oversees all services provided by Specialists in the department and ensures proper completion of scheduled work. Ensures customer satisfaction by making sure that the service contract is followed and services are completed accordingly. A Service Manager has the opportunity to make a difference in his employees' productivity and employment satisfaction by guiding them and providing supports that will help develop the full professional potential of every individual employee.

What You'll Bring:

  • Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
  • To apply for this position, you must have 3-5 years experience of residential lawn maintenance management experience
  • Experience in a leading position and demonstrated ability in motivating groups is preferred. Must be able to communicate with members at all levels of the organization and customers. Ability to forecast work seasons and personnel needs.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to organize department work flow and create solutions for production and administrative problems.
  • Dependable and self-motivated with desire to work year-round. High school diploma or GED is desired.
  • Ability to use and navigate electronic tablet/phone, etc. Computer skills; basic knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time in extreme temperatures including outdoors. Repetitive lifting, twisting, pulling, pushing and carry up to 50 lbs. may be required.
  • Ability to handle and climb a 10 feet ladder. Some travel may be required.

What You'll Do:

  • All Service Managers must have complete knowledge of how to perform the primary responsibilities of the Land Maintenance Specialist job.
  • Our Service Managers make recommendations to improve operations, sets goals, plans; coordinates work flow to achieve the goals set by the company and the department.
  • Responds to customer service complaints by phone, email, or meets with customer in person, answers troubleshooting calls, resolves problems that are of a complex nature and follows through until a resolution has been reached.
  • Responsible for department personnel interviews and the hiring of any potential hires.
  • Retrieves and reviews QA inspection reports. Corrects improper techniques to improve efficiency of the Specialist's work. Plans and recommends proper solutions to resolve persistent land maintenance problems.
  • Prepares write ups, counsels employees and plays an important part in the specialist's development, coaching, training and separations. Responsible for seeking counsel before taking adverse action against an employee.
  • Approves time sheets and PTO request on a timely manner. Ensures all commission sheets for all employees are clear of mistakes and submits to payroll for process.
  • Makes vehicles ready for new hires or transfers, monitors drive cams, drives with new employees to different work sites to grade the readiness of the new employee. Reinforces proper techniques if necessary.
  • Effectively manages employee conflict, resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problem. Escalates the matter to upper Management or HR for employee resolution when necessary.
  • Takes inventory and plans for future demand and replacement of equipment.
  • Remains knowledgeable regarding company policies and procedures and communicates these to employees. Seeks counsel of employment law when necessary.
  • Responsible for assigning all equipment to new hires and accounting of all returned equipment when an employee leaves.
  • Enforces all safety regulations and company policies and procedures. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve goals.
  • Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property of our customers.
  • Responsible for maintain the required property uniform and insuring a professional appearance and attitude for all service personnel at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
