Description:

Reports to Superintendent of Common Area Land Maintenance to perform all aspects of landscape maintenance on the common grounds at Mariner Sands Country Club.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Operate push mowers, zero turn mowers, string trimmers, back pack blowers, edgers, hedge trimmers and drive a golf cart.
  • Fertilizing
  • Prep area for sod and install sod
  • Remove and install plant material, flowers and trees
  • Pulling weeds
  • Hedge trimming and tree trimming
  • Mulching
  • Performs all tasks safely and efficiently and uses all tools and equipment in accordance with company safety policy
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned or when needed


Requirements:
  • Able to identify various flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Experience in applying fertilizer, pesticides and herbicides.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Basic math skills and conversions required to measure and mix proper amounts of liquids and granular products.
  • Able to keep records and paperwork.
  • Candidates must have good communication skills, organized, possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Candidate must have the ability to be a team member and be able to perform with minimum supervision.
