  • Position - Project Manager/Project Architect
  • Salary Range - $95-$120k

LAN Associates, Engineering Planning, Architecture Surveying, Inc., (“LAN”) is excited to be expanding our team! We are seeking an experienced Architect/Project Manager to join our team in Goshen, NY. We’re looking for a Project Manager/Project Architect with at least 10 years of experience in the industry and at least 7 years of experience working on K12 projects that require permits from the New York State Education Department. This position is an opportunity to apply your knowledge and advance your career, while working with a project team in a strong, mid-sized architecture and engineering design firm. As a design professional working in our Goshen office you will be using the latest versions of AutoCAD and Revit to problem solve and deliver highly coordinated construction documents for educational, commercial, municipal, and industrial projects. Those interested should be experienced and proficient with interpreting the International Building Code as adopted by NYS, and familiar with code requirements of the New York State Education Department for the design of public schools in NYS. The candidate is expected to work closely with our staff to establish project requirements, manage project budgets, and meet deliverable milestones.

This position requires the candidate to be part of a project team and to work individually at times, while having the support and resources of a large, experienced team of design professionals. You must be proficient in communicating project requirements, be experienced in managing projects, be proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT, be detailed oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills. The position will require you to meet with clients, contractors, in-house staff, and consultants; necessitating strong communication skills. This opportunity affords a dynamic role, working with all disciplines of the A/E industry on an array of projects for various market segments.

LAN Associates employs over 130 architects, engineers, surveyors, environmental professionals, construction professionals and support staff in three states.   • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • Licensed Architect or design professional on path to licensure with at least 5 years of experience in the AE industry.
  • Experienced in K-12, Higher Education, and Municipal Projects
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or REVIT (REVIT preferred), Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must be a team player, while also being an independent worker with minimal supervision

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as project architect, which would include providing project team direction, scheduling, assessing project budgets, and meeting deliverable milestones
  • Manage small teams of architects, designers, and/or draftspeople
  • Participation within the conceptual development of project designs and drawings for design presentations
  • Assist with referendum planning efforts for various Board of Educations, prepare NYSED project forms.
  • Visit job sites to survey existing conditions, including when required to develop existing condition plans, take photographs, and prepare field memos to document existing conditions and observations
  • Preparation of project reports, cost estimates, feasibility studies and other documents required of various project phases
  • Preparation and development of architectural schematic design and construction documents in REVIT and AutoCAD
  • Communicate and coordinate with design team members, architects, senior management, other engineering disciplines, vendors, building officials, other consultants, etc. throughout all phases of the design and construction process
  • Attend various meetings, including pre-design, plan review, pre-construction, professional organizations, etc.
  • Competency to prioritize effectively and adjust work accordingly to meet deadlines
  • Manage the construction administration process and/or work with LAN’s in-house construction administration team from award of the contract through project close-out

Thesalary rangefor this role is $95,000 –$120,000 annually.
