LAN Managers are IT professionals responsible for overseeing and maintaining local area networks (LANs) within an organization. They ensure that network infrastructure, such as switches, routers, and cabling, operates efficiently and securely. Their duties often include monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, implementing security measures, and coordinating network upgrades or expansions. LAN Managers also provide support to users and may be involved in training staff on network usage and best practices.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a LAN manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a LAN Manager, you need expertise in network design, configuration, troubleshooting, and a relevant degree or certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA.
