MUST BE 25+
As the first and last point of contact for customers you will play a key role in the overall experience at LaCoco's Pizza & Sports Lounge. We are looking for a professional, customer-service oriented individual to join our team as a doorman. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a customer-service, security capacity and be able to maintain a calm and friendly demeanor at all times. He or she will be responsible for greeting customers as well as providing assistance as needed. Additionally, a doorman ensures that each patron is old enough to legally drink by checking each guest's identification and may also collect tickets or an admission cover charge. The doorman will be responsible using best judgment by not allowing heavily intoxicated individuals in.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome customers in a warm, professional, and friendly manner
  • Scan ID
  • Direct customers and provide general information about any events
  • Assist with set up and break down of events as needed
  • Patrol restaurant to ensure guest safety
  • Respond to any disturbances
  • Prepare incident reports as necessary
  • Enforce rules and regulations to ensure safety and security of all occupants
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of area
One of the more challenging duties is dealing with difficult patrons. Skilled doormen interact with customers in a friendly, professional and courteous manner. They use communication skills, rather than physical force, to interact with aggressive, intoxicated or obnoxious patrons.
When they refuse a patron entrance, a doorman calmly and respectfully explains the reasons why. After listening to a customer's protests, the doorman instructs the patron to leave the premises and may summon other doormen to persuade the customer to leave
Doormen are required to stand for long periods of time and may be required to lift heavy objects. They also must be able to deal with difficult people, as they are often the first point of contact for customers. Doormen must be able to remain calm and professional in all situations.
