Job Summary

The Hardware Test Engineer will join the Test Engineering department, collaborating with technical teams across the company to understand customer needs and deliver proactive technical solutions. Responsibilities include designing, developing, integrating, and validating automated and manual test systems, as well as embedded diagnostic applications. The role also involves creating and updating test procedures, reports, and fixtures for systems and circuit card assemblies. Candidates should have strong electronics knowledge and software programming skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze embedded military systems to define and implement effective test methods.
  • Design and develop test environments, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Author and maintain detailed test procedures, reports, and documentation.
  • Plan, oversee, and execute qualification and production testing.
  • Provide Design for Testability input and support design reviews.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Test and provide necessary training. 
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and status reporting for assigned tasks.
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components and test-related services.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet technical, cost, and schedule goals.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Electrical/Test Engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Diligent, quick learner with strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and familiar with agile tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Experienced in collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams.
  • Skilled in developing automated test systems using NI LabVIEW and TestStand. 
  • Familiar with modeling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Cameo.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple technical issues in parallel. 
  • Background in nuclear power plant design and operation and IEEE 323, IEEE 344 and MIL-STD-461 are a plus
  • Knowledge of actuator products and control systems is a plus
  • Experience with product qualification at independent testing laboratories (EMI, Shock, Vibration, etc.) is desirable
