Job description

Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong controls engineering and LabVIEW experience to support the design, integration, and testing of industrial and maritime control systems. This position is ideal for an engineer with hands-on experience in data acquisition, sensor integration, and electro-mechanical control systems involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric actuation.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and support electrical and control systems for heavy maritime machinery and related equipment.
  • Develop basic data acquisition systems in LabVIEW for monitoring and recording system performance.
  • Integrate and configure sensors and instrumentation, including pressure transducers, velocity wires, electrical triggers, and other monitoring and feedback devices
  • Design and support control systems used to actuate hydraulic valves, pneumatic valves, hydraulic actuators, pneumatic actuators, and electric motors
  • Assist with system architecture, wiring concepts, I/O definition, control logic development, and interface design.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, integration, and validation of electrical and control systems in laboratory, shipboard, or industrial environments.
  • Analyze system performance data and provide recommendations for design improvements and operational reliability.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, interface definitions, and engineering reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, technicians, and customer stakeholders to deliver effective system solutions.
  • Support compliance with program, customer, and safety requirements throughout design, integration, and test activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, controls engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional experience with LabVIEW
  • Professional experience designing basic data acquisition systems using sensors such as:
    • pressure transducers
    • velocity wires
    • electrical triggers
  • Professional experience designing industrial control systems used to actuate valves and electric motors.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
