About the Role
 
 Come join our team as a Concrete Labourer at Rockport Commercial! This role involves assisting with site preparation, concrete placement, and finishing work on our residential and commercial projects. We’re looking for someone who brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate should have an eager willingness to learn and grow in the trade.
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
  • Perform layout work according to project plans and specific measurements.
  • Set and align concrete forms to proper grade, level, height, and other specifications.
  • Tie and secure rebar as required.
  • Set up and take down scaffolding safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare job sites for concrete pours, including grading, compacting, and staging materials.
  • Assist with pouring, spreading, and finishing concrete.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and job sites to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with crew members, supervisors, and other trades to keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
 
What You’ll Need
 
  • Previous construction or concrete experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions year-round.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment. 
  • Ability to follow directions and read basic measurements.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle to get to job sites.
