Job summary:

Reporting to the location's Supervisor, your focus will be to perform a wide variety of tasks for material handling, clean-up, packaging and other various tasks to aid daily operations in manufacturing and processing.  Our ideal candidate will champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate will be able to:

- Work one of the following shifts with a starting hourly rate of $21.52

  • 8 hour shift:  Monday - Friday either: 
    •  Days           7:00 am -  3:30 pm
    •  Afternoons: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
  • 10 hour shift:  Monday - Thursday
    •  Days            6:00 am - 4:30 pm
    •  Evenings     4:30 pm - 3:00 am
  • 12 hour shift:  Friday - Sunday 
    •  Days            7:00 am- 8:00 pm     (paid 1 hour break which includes coffee breaks too)

- Provide us with a criminal background check by uploading it in "attachment documents" when uploading resume or at time of interview

- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Move, load, unload material and products manually up to 40-50 lbs at a time
  • Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
  • Assist machine operators and departments as needed
  • Work on production machinery such as Dip Tank, Cutters and other machinery as needed
  • Clean work areas and equipment
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and maintain clean and safe work area
  • May perform other duties as supervisor deems necessary

Qualifications:

  • Team player
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of shop tools and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and hazardous goods would be considered as asset

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hour work week
  • Fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Extremely hot materials 
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required
  • Physically demanding
  • Frequent standing, bending walking and stretching
  • Lifting of light and heavy materials
  • Noisy working area
  • Temperatures are variable (hot in summer, cold in winter)
